Terms of Service

Effective October 14, 2026. By using DonateJesus or adding a light, you agree to these terms and the linked contribution, refund, privacy, and community policies.

Operator

DonateJesus is the public-facing operating name of an individual sole proprietor located in British Columbia, Canada. DonateJesus is not represented as a corporation, registered charity, or tax-exempt organization. Operator and legal-notice inquiries may be sent through the Contact page.

Service

DonateJesus operates a digital monument, public map, rankings, banner, and Wall of Love. Features may change, pause, or become unavailable for maintenance, safety, legal compliance, or circumstances outside our control.

Contributions

Contributions support the development, operation and growth of DonateJesus. A portion of proceeds is directed to local food banks and other philanthropic organizations. Contributions are not charitable donations and are not tax deductible unless specifically stated otherwise.

A contribution purchases no ownership interest, investment return, voting right, charitable receipt, or guaranteed placement. Public rankings and presentation may change as activity changes.

Submitted content

You must have the right to submit names and messages. Do not submit unlawful, abusive, threatening, deceptive, infringing, private, or promotional content. DonateJesus may review, edit, hide, or remove public-facing content while retaining transaction records required for payment, accounting, fraud prevention, and legal compliance.

Payments and disputes

Payments are processed by Stripe. You authorize the selected amount and agree not to submit fraudulent transactions. Refund eligibility is described in the Refund Policy. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot legally be waived.

Acceptable use

Do not attack, scrape excessively, probe, reverse engineer, disrupt, or misuse the service, impersonate others, or attempt to bypass rate limits, authentication, moderation, payment verification, or security controls.

Disclaimer and liability

The service is provided on an “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. DonateJesus does not guarantee uninterrupted availability, a particular ranking, or preservation of public content. Liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without limiting any mandatory consumer rights that apply to you.
